It's easy to get lost in your to-do list these days, isn't it? No matter what your job is, it's hard not to feel like a cog in a wheel from the minute you get off the bed to the minute you slump back into it. Sooner or later, somethings gotta give - and when that happens, you often spend a lot of time sitting, looking around, and wondering just what the heck you're doing with your life.
As life today gets more and more challenging, it also gets harder to maintain a healthy love life. Is it even possible to make something out of yourself and have a fulfilling relationship with a great man at the same time?
Of course it is - it's never a give-and-take kind of thing. Here are some ways to put the spark back in your life - and, in the process, your love life as well.
Tip #1: Loosen up. One bad habit of perpetually unhappy people is perfectionism. They do every little thing how they think it should be done, and often lapse into bad moods when things don't go the way they want them to. Naturally, in a world where about 4 out of 5 things don't go your way, you can bet that these individuals act like sourpusses most of the time.
If you think you're a perfectionist, learn to loosen up. Instead of seeing things as how they should be, learn to accept them the way they are. Worrying about things you can't change won't help things - instead, focus on the things that you can change.
Of course, it'll help to goof around a little bit, too. Make time to do the things you used to enjoy while you were a kid, even if it was just playing around with the garden hose or walking barefoot around the house. Loosen up!
Tip #2: Give What You Want. Remember the saying, "You only get what you give"? These words of wisdom don't only apply to church - it applies to your social life as well. If you'd like to squeeze more dates into your schedule, don't wait for your friends to ask you out - pick up the phone and ask them out yourself. If you'd like a weekend vacation with the man in your life, don't wait for him to surprise you - surprise him first.
You'll notice that giving little things, even something as simple as your place in the grocery check-out line, can open you up to preppy conversations with strangers. You'll feel less lonely and isolated, and everything you give will come back to you many times over in the long run.
Tip#3: Take Responsibility For Your Own Life. People who don't take responsibility of their life are the same people who think they can't control it. Such individuals often feel envious of other people who they think were born "luckier" than they are. If you feel like this, even sometimes, then there's good news for you.
You can control your life.
Remember that the things you envy in other people are the things you neglect in yourself. If you envy people who can dress well, then you're probably neglecting your own sense of fashion. If you envy other women who have great boyfriends, then maybe you're neglecting your social life.
That's how it works.
The good news is that you can change all that. By focusing all the energy you spend in harboring negative vibes and turning it into something positive, you'll start feeling happier and your life won't be as stagnant.
Bottom line? It's all up to you.
